This site has information on skills that second graders will learn throughout the year. It has overviews of each unit as well and helps to explain how we teach the concepts in class. This would be helpful if you need direction when working with your child.
It also has links to games that correlate with the different skills we learn. There is a section too with different apps to download that your child could use when working at home. This site has fun activities for each new day, practice math pages, family games and online games!

Build combinations to ten with pipe sections to set a whale free.
Click on a number to complete the addition or subtraction expression before time runs out. The program allows you to select from a variety of formats, with unknowns in various positions.
Add a single digit to a double digit to jump to the next multiple of ten on a number line and destroy a castle. Pull down on the catapult to adjust the number added on the number line. Check "hide jumps" to use mental math. See help video for demo.
Compare numbers and place the correct sign between them. Three levels: numbers to 100, 1,000, 10,000.
Click on the shell that shows 10 more than the given number.
View a visual model of tens and units and click on the number represented.
Given three numbers, look at the base ten pieces and click on the bubble that shows that number. Shark bites the boat if incorrect.
